JOB PURPOSE
The main duties include overseeing the configuration management process, ensuring the integrity of CMDB data, and supporting IT Asset tracking. This role also requires to collaborate with ServiceNow, servers, and application owners to collect and improve data quality.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Carry out operational tasks as defined by Configuration Management (CM) policies and procedures
- Complete CMDB service requests as assigned
- Join in strategic projects to make sure CMDB can deliver required functionality within project time frames
- Provide guidance on CMDB services, concepts, policies, and procedures to the organization
- Gather and report on metrics as given
- Proactively identify non-compliance and report back
- Executing CMDB audits as assigned
- Finding opportunities to improve services
- Control purchased and used inventory
- Lower the cost of purchase and manage the assets
- Control the life cycle of IT assets from planning to disposal
- Achieve compliance with relevant IT asset standards and regulations
- Develop procedures and guidelines for managing assets
- Document and maintain local config management Process and Procedures
- Maintain and report about the CMDB local data
- Find and fix service mapping gaps
- Manage application and Infra CI lifecycle (Remap, updates mapping wherever required via UI)
- Collaborate with configuration manager/product owner, application/system owners, and system owners to maintain/update/improve CI data integrity.
- When required, maintain, modify, and develop local procedures or policies in accordance with group policies and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Have ITIL Foundation v3 or v4 certification is a plus
- Experience in using ServiceNow ITOM module is a plus
- Good understanding in IT configuration and asset management, ServiceNow CMDB
- Skilled in analyzing, problem solving on maintaining CMDB data integrity
- Knowledge about ServiceNow discover and service mapping tool
- Good communication skills with strong command of English (both speaking and writing)
- Experience in process governance and design
- Ability to work independently
