Key Responsibilities:
1. Factory Setup and Commissioning:
- Led the setup and commissioning of the new solar glass production facility, including installation and calibration of production equipment.
- Develop and implement production processes and workflows to ensure efficient operation.
2. Production Processing:
- Oversee the rolling and patterning processes of solar glass to achieve the desired thickness, surface texture, and quality.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and optimize production processes for efficiency and quality.
3. Production Control and Monitoring:
- Monitor production metrics and performance indicators to ensure adherence to quality standards and production targets.
- Identify and resolve any issues related to production processes, equipment, or materials.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet the required specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of products to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies.
5. Process Improvement:
- Analyze production data and feedback to identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated with advancements in glass manufacturing technology and incorporate best practices into production processes.
6. Team Management and Support:
- Train and supervise production staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about procedures and safety protocols.
- Assist the team in ensuring a smooth plant start-up, achieving faster stabilization, and establishing effective systems and good manufacturing practices.
7. Performance and KPI Management:
- Support the team in achieving targeted yield, key performance indicators (KPIs), and benchmarking overall plant performance.
- Collaborate with team members to track progress, analyze performance data, and implement strategies to meet production goals.
8. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a culture of safety within the production facility.
- Maintain accurate records of production processes, quality control measures, and safety inspections.
9. Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, design, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth coordination and integration of production activities.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to manage the procurement of raw materials and equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in manufacturing or production management are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in glass manufacturing, with a focus on rolled or patterned glass. Experience in setting up and managing production facilities is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of glass production processes, including rolling and patterning. Proficiency in using production equipment and software for monitoring and control.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze production data, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.
- Leadership: Proven experience in managing and leading a production team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in production and quality control.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.
