The SOX Manager ensures the company’s compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act by designing, implementing, and overseeing internal controls over financial reporting. This role is key to preventing fraud, safeguarding accuracy in financial statements, and driving continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities

Internal Controls: Design, implement, and test controls to meet SOX requirements.

Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate ICFR risks, recommending mitigation strategies.

Auditor Coordination: Partner with internal and external auditors, facilitate walkthroughs, and provide necessary documentation.

Deficiency Management: Track control deficiencies and oversee remediation to completion.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Finance, IT, and other departments to strengthen compliance processes.

Training & Awareness: Develop materials and deliver sessions to promote SOX compliance.

Reporting: Provide updates to senior management and the Audit Committee on compliance status, findings, and remediation progress.

Process Improvement: Identify and recommend enhancements in financial reporting controls and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills

Strong knowledge of SOX requirements, PCAOB standards, and IIA auditing standards.

Experience in auditing, internal controls, and compliance programs.

Familiarity with IT general controls and application controls (mandatory for IT SOX Managers).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.

Strong communication skills in English and Vietnamese; ability to explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and project management skills.

Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
