Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Vietnam engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Vietnam engineering team and Singapore-based leadership, ensuring strong communication and alignment.
- Drive the delivery of high-quality software solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional teams to define priorities and execute product roadmaps.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and career development planning for team members.
- Identify and remove technical and operational blockers to maximize team productivity.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to build a high-performing engineering team.
- Champion engineering best practices, Agile methodologies, and continuous process improvement.
- Foster effective knowledge sharing and collaboration across regional teams.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance engineering capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an engineering leadership or management role.
- Proven experience leading and scaling engineering teams, ideally in a distributed or regional environment.
- Strong technical expertise in software development; hands-on coding experience is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and modern software development practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and multiple time zones.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
