Technology Head

     

    Job Summary

    Stationery Cell Technology Head will oversee the development, innovation, and optimization of stationary battery cells. This role involves leading a team of engineers and scientists to drive technological advancements, ensure product performance, innovation, safety, and cost-efficiency.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Strategic Leadership: Lead strategic development and enhancement of new and existing products, ensuring alignment with market demands, technological advancements, and commercial viability.
    • Market Analysis and Innovation: Stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to drive innovation and address emerging market needs.
    • Technology Management: Evaluate emerging technologies, set standards for technological adoption, and lead collaborations with global technology partners to support advanced research and development.
    • Technology Budget Management: Strategically manage the technology budget and resource allocation to prioritize projects that offer the highest value.
    • Team Building and Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, focusing on critical talent acquisition and development in cutting-edge technologies.
    • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Oversee technological developments to ensure compliance with industry standards and integrate ESG criteria into product designs.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with PhD (desirable)
    • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in lithium-ion battery design, engineering, research and development, particularly in the mobility cell space.
    • Knowledge of lithium-ion battery manufacturing, power electronics, and familiarity with the cell manufacturing process.
    • Understanding of the mechanical, structural, and environmental aspects of large stationary application battery packs.
    • Experience in designing and developing stationary lithium-ion cells end-to-end.
    • Demonstrated experience in stationary battery applications of various lithium-ion cell chemistries and their interrelations with other subsystems.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of product development processes.
    • Familiarity with market trends, consumer preferences, and technological advancements.
