Job Summary
This position will form an integral part of the Global Trade Compliance department, tasked with managing
risk assessment and mitigation across various aspects such as sales, finance, production, and customs
concerning the company’s trade activities in Vietnam. Responsibilities include facilitating communication
with local governmental and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to trade regulations and laws.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams will be essential for driving enhancements in processes. Effective
engagement with internal and external stakeholders at various organizational levels is a key aspect of this
role.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Conduct analysis and monitoring of trade compliance processes, contributing to ongoing
improvement and standardization efforts.
• Aid in overseeing trade compliance activities and resolving issues within the region.
• Assist in conducting regular internal and external audits for import/export operations, bonded
warehouse management, and site compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and
regulations, and providing routine compliance metric reporting.
• Support the review of import and export Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in
managing third-party relationships (e.g., brokers, logistics service providers) from a compliance
standpoint.
• Contribute to the trade compliance monitoring program, identifying risks and collaborating with
regional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Assist in delivering trade compliance training sessions in Vietnam.
• Provide support to the logistics team during the bidding process for logistics service providers,
considering trade compliance factors.
• Assist in maintaining and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures within the
region.
• Participate in special programs such as Free Trade Areas (FTA) and duty drawback initiatives, as
well as other assigned risk management projects.
• Support system development and optimization efforts to meet trade compliance requirements.
• Offer assistance and participation in other trade compliance-related matters as needed.
Basic Qualifications
• A degree in fields such as International Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain etc. relevant fields.
• Preferably, experience in trade compliance, air freight, warehousing, legal, or related fields.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, creative, takes ownership, shows initiative, thinks clearly, and works well in a
team.
• Preferred experience includes HTS classification and working in bonded factories.
• Proficiency in Vietnamese is essential, with proficiency in Chinese or English being advantageous.
Vietnamese can be used as the primary working language.
