As part of our new campaign spotlighting EV Search consultants, we are proud to launch a special interview series inspired by the National Motto of Vietnam “Independence - Freedom - Happiness”. This initiative gives our consultants the space to share their career journeys, personal insights, and reflections on what independence, freedom and happiness means to them.

At EV Search, we honor not only the independence of our nation but also the spirit of independence within each individual - the drive to grow, to lead, and to create meaningful impact.

We had the opportunity to speak with two of our colleagues: Mr. Rieturaj Sinha, Business Development Director, and Ms. Thy Bui, Associate Recruitment Consultant from the E-commerce team - as they shared their thoughts on freedom. From challenging limitations to fostering trust, their perspectives highlight how freedom influences both their professional journeys and their ways of working with others.

Let’s kick off with the core question. How do you define "freedom"?

Mr. Rieturaj Sinha: Freedom, to me, is the self-empowerment to grow intellectually, emotionally, and professionally by breaking free from rigid stereotypes in both life and work. It is the courage to embrace change, evolve into our most authentic selves, and live with greater purpose, dignity, and elevation.

Ms. Thy Bui: To me, freedom is the place where we are confident to show our strengths, while also having the chance to recognize and improve our weaknesses without fear of judgment. It’s about having the trust and support to make decisions, share ideas, and learn from mistakes.

That’s very inspiring. How do you experience this sense of freedom at work, especially here at EV Search?

Ms. Thy Bui: I started to really feel and understand “freedom” at the workplace since I joined EV Search. I can clearly see how my team leaders empower me to raise my voice, share ideas and experiences, and give me the space to handle problems on my own. At the same time, I’ve learned that freedom doesn’t mean a lack of structure - it works best when there are clear goals and guidance. That way, my solutions not only show independence but also align with the bigger team objectives.

Mr. Rieturaj Sinha: I completely agree. Freedom is not about working without boundaries; it’s about creating an environment where people feel trusted enough to grow and courageous enough to innovate. At EV, I see freedom reflected in the way we encourage authenticity, respect individuality, and empower each other to move forward with confidence.

Their reflections remind us that freedom, whether at work, in life, or as a nation - is not simply about independence, but about growth, responsibility, and creating space for collective progress.
