Role purpose: To develop and manage the material distribution for Company operations. Manage material sourcing, purchasing, production, inventory, control receiving, inspection, storage and shipping functions in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Job Responsibilities: Knowledge Development: Develop and enhance expertise in sustainability and ESG standards within the commercial space, including tools and methodologies applicable in target geographical markets. Stay informed about regulations, competitive landscapes, value chains, and industry challenges and trends. Sustainability Strategy: Identify and curate actionable sustainability strategies for the Company and its business units. Spearhead, partner, and co-own the successful implementation of sustainability KPIs and initiatives in alignment with the Company’s sustainability commitments. Account Management: Regularly manage the accounts of assigned business units. Oversee the implementation of Urban sustainability roadmaps. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan, execute, monitor, and assess project outcomes within the business units. Contribution to Sustainability Roadmap: Provide inputs to the Company’s Sustainability Roadmap as a member of the Sustainability Team. Assess and update the Sustainability Master Plan targets, including equivalent assessments of green certifications in the urban environment. Assessment and Recommendations: Conduct assessments for new investments and Asset Enhancement Initiatives to meet Sustainability Roadmap targets. Coordinate with stakeholders to complete assessments, recommend risk-mitigation, and identify sustainable solutions opportunities. Viability Evaluation: Evaluate the techno-commercial viability of sustainability features, consulting with internal or external solution specialists. GHG Emissions and Reporting: Support GHG emissions-related data collection from assigned business units. Participate in Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions assessments, target setting, tracking, and reporting. Skills Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related environmental sustainability disciplines. Minimum 5 years of experience in the sustainability field. Knowledge of commercialized decarbonization solutions in the urban environment is essential. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments and regions. Familiarity with capital improvement projects related to energy efficiency. Proficient in GHG emissions and ESG standards and reporting, carbon footprint calculations, and environmental attributes such as Renewable Energy Certificates and high-quality carbon offsets. Experience in green building certifications (e.g., Green Mark, LEED, or EDGE) and ISO standards for best practices in real estate operations is an added advantage. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches. The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
