Job Summary :
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Solar Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, with quality and within budget. You will:
• Provide pre-construction, installation, and post-installation support to internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate a commitment to best-practice service delivery
• Deliver high-level customer satisfaction
• Manage projects (from costing, project execution to completion) on behalf of the Company on a day to day basis, ensuring that projects are undertaken in a safe, cost effective manner and in full compliance with Company procedures.
Job Responsibilities :
· Responsible for operational level and understanding of client’s requirements, conduct site visits, site feasibility, solar system design and execution of project.
· Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of rooftop and ground mount solar PV systems.
· Involve in project commercial offerings - produce and submit proposals and tenders in a timely manner.
· Plan and manage the implementation of contract work in a safe manner, in accordance with company-wide and project-specific health, safety and environmental documentation.
· Provide project engineers with appropriate targets in terms of work outputs, deadlines etc based on work programme.
· Work proactively to improve productivity without compromising safety or quality requirements.
· Acting as a single point of contact for customer(s) managing specific contracts and KPI’s.
· Complete projects on schedule and within budget.
· Create, execute project plans revise and maintain to achieve agreed deadlines.
· Manage and report day-to-day operational aspects of the projects.
· Progress follow-up, milestone, payments, claims management.
· Create checklists for review or inspection of completed solar installation projects.
· Ensure all project related documents are maintained and kept current.
· Work closely with all stakeholders maintaining a high level of communication.
· Manage revenue; meet financial objectives, assist with budgets and forecasting.
· Monitor and identify risk proactively and determine suitable mitigation strategies.
· Work closely with project teams regionally and locally.
· Support business development with tenders and quotations as needed.
Skills and Qualifications :
· Minimum 5 years of experience in renewables sector required.
· Experienced in contract and financial management.
· Able to converse in English, Malay and Chinese
· An Electrical Engineering degree/diploma will be an added advantage.
· Knowledge of local licensing and standard design/construction practices.
· Knowledge in PVSYST and AutoCAD.
· Project management skills.
· Be able to station on site to manage the workers and sub-contractors, coordinate with the main contractor and consultants.
· Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment.
· Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environment with changing circumstances, direction and strategy.
· Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
